Mintek’s Season of Giving

Each holiday season, the team at Mintek Resources works together to support local charitable organizations through monetary and material donations. This year, we’d like to spotlight the 501(c)(3) partners local to our Dayton, OH headquarters and the missions they serve to spread holiday cheer to those in need. In addition, we’ll touch on our decades’ long Mintek holiday tradition specific to each employee.

Mintek participates in a Giving Tree program every December to support one of our favorite local organizations, CHOICES, Inc., based in Moraine, OH. CHOICES offers several programs and services to serve local children and families, ranging from foster care to independent living and home-based services. The Giving Tree program makes the holiday season special by fulfilling Christmas wishes from children in their programs. This Christmas is the third year we’ve hosted a Giving Tree through CHOICES, and this year Mintek sponsored 20 wishes totaling over $1,000! The Giving Tree is one of our favorite events to participate in and we hope to continue for many years to come.

Our second local partner is For Love of Children (FLOC) located in Dayton, OH. FLOC is a 100% volunteer agency that serves over 8,000 children in the greater Dayton area who are in foster care or in need of community resources. This organization offers a multitude of programs to benefit the underserved children in the Dayton region, from educational tools to after school tutoring and milestone events like birthdays and school dances. Mintek offers a monetary donation each December to help support the variety of efforts FLOC manages and is a valued partner to our team.

In addition to our set partnerships, Mintek makes a monetary donation on each employee’s behalf to the organization of their choice each December. Employees submit an organization of importance to them and Mintek coordinates the donation in their name. This holiday tradition has lasted over 10 years and offers employees a way to support organizations, large and small, in a more personal way.

Through company partnerships with organizations like CHOICES and FLOC, as well as personal relationships with a variety of charities, Mintek’s contributions make a greater impact. Local charitable organizations offer resources and benefits to communities that would otherwise have to go without, and Mintek is honored to be a part of the outstanding efforts of our 501©(3) partners. To make a difference in your community, find local groups who are looking for volunteers, donations, and more through online resources like give.org or charitynavigator.org or ask those around you what organizations they know of.
